This identity system and it's components are solutions to a school assignment to create a social advocacy campaign related to a current social issue.

 

"Don’t Shoot" is a fictional campaign based on the social movement for police accountability emerging out of the incidents surrounding the death of teenager Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri August 9th 2014.

 

Goal: to bring justice to Mike Brown and all victims of police violence and prevent future incidents by building a nationwide movement to dismantle the New Jim Crow and the prison industrial complex.

Mission: Organize a critical mass of people to take action demanding justice for victims of police violence and institute policies to prevent future incidents.

Values: Social and racial justice, Accountability

Target audience: People concerned about social / racial justice (Communities of color, Young people, Progressive people)

Messaging objectives: Create an emotional response and opportunity to take action.
